Job description / Role
- Advise partners/third vessel arrival and departure details received from central operations
- Consolidate bookings(third party, partner, exports, transhipment, empty) and prepare master CBF and submit to Central Planning for approval/confirmation
- Coordinate and obtain documentations (DGPC, DG Manifest, Reefer Manifest, etc.) related to special cargo/equipment.
- Handle all queries/requests from partners/third parties regarding special containers (DG, OG, etc.)
- Generate discharge list of all containers (import, transhipment, empty) from TRUST and generate discharge EDI and send to ports
- Ensure reconciliation of discharge list with bay plan, load list from port of loading
- Address all queries from ports related to discrepancies in discharge EDI and coordinate with concerned departments to produce accurate discharge list/plan.
- Ensure to verify/tally CBF and Terminal Operations Report (TOR) and identify errors or omissions and provide report to Central Planning
- Prepare CAR (Container Activity Report) vessel-wise and tally it against TRUST data
- Prepare monthly report ensuring accurate and comprehensive container operations for allocated vessels
- Coordinate with central planning for crane booking and ensure that booking is done as per plan
- Provide vessel registration/clearance details to the terminals as required to book crane services
- Ensure accurate information related to crane booking such as number of cranes and moves required, etc.
- Coordinate with the terminals for any amendments to the crane booking in terms of vessel details, loading/discharge related changes etc.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree from a recognized university in commerce/accounts.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar or related position in a shipping or freight forwarding company
Job Specific Skills:
- Knowledge of shipping services/products
- Very Good MS Office skills specially MS Excel
- Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Good command over written and spoken English
- Arabic Language Skill is an advantage
- Good Problem Solving ability & Patient attitude
