Job description / Role
Main Purpose:
•Collection of operational data, including the collation of information in support of the regular operational summary reports.
•Undertake analysis of operational data to determine operational performance.
•Configure and run fast time simulation exercises for ATM Development projects (future concepts and tools) and for Dubai Airports capacity declaration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Collection of operational data.
•Undertake analysis of operational data to determine operational performance (this covers a wide range of operational data parameters that enable operational performance to be assessed for various types of delay, traffic throughput, productivity and efficiency)
•Measure and assess operational performance against specific Key Performance Indicators (as specified in the annual KPIs agreed between Dubai Airports and Serco)
•Work collaboratively with the Dubai Airports Operational Research team for capacity declaration and other projects as directed
•Plans, designs and reports on technical tasks
•Support Serco DANS contract in the configuration and running of fast time simulation exercises for ATM Development projects (future concepts and tools) and for Dubai Airports capacity declaration.
•Develop software routines to enable automated collection and analysis of operational data
•Provides support and guidance to less experienced colleagues
•Ensure compliance with the DANS SQMS.
•Demonstrate the DANS values ensuring excellence in service
Requirements
Knowledge
•Educated to diploma/college level preferably within numerical field.
Skills
•A mature, proactive and responsible approach to work with initiative and problem solving capability;
•Understanding of ATC operations, particularly for terminal airspace and/or airport environment
•A working knowledge and experience of Java and Visual Basic to enable software routines to be developed for automated data processing
•Insight into future ATC concepts
•Proven analytical skills that can be applied to routine analysis
•A good understanding of the use of statistical software packages
•Anticipates and solves/mitigates problems of a technical nature
•Good presentation skills
•Good communication skills, both written and oral
•Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
•Computer literate – proficient in the use of MS Windows/Office and have excellent organisational skills
Experience
•A minimum of eighteen months experience undertaking analysis of ATC operations, preferably in a complex terminal airspace and/or airport environment
