Employment: Full Time

Our client an events and entertainment business in the UAE, are looking for an Operations Associate responsible for the smooth on-site/off-site production and operations of small events. This position ensures that the production and operations components are within time, on cost and quality as set out in the plan.

Accountable to Vice President Operations.

This position is responsible for a wide range of tasks and deliverables relating to the operational and administrative delivery of the event. The position requires active consultations with regard to informing Project Department on progress in terms of timelines, deliverable, contract/LPO signed and invoicing. The position might be accountable for some tasks, and may be co-signatory to deliverables (documents, invoices, contracts, LPOs, etc).

Requirements

- Event Management Qualification.
- Administrative qualification or Bachelor Degree.
- Formalized procurement or administrative training and certifications.
- Formalized quality assurance training and certifications.

Skills:
- A minimum of 1-3 years of event or administrative experience.
- Strong ability to work within a team and across departments.
- Strong administrative skills, aptitude and/or experience (e.g. databases, table structures, etc.).
- Ability to create, manipulate and utilize spreadsheets, word processing programs.
- Ability to proofread and review accurately (Prepare and review contracts, technical riders, payment request, LPO, etc.)
- Working in a matrix environment requires a strong communicator with excellent influencing, negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills (including the ability to draft understandable, clear and consistent documents on topics within the areas of responsibility)
- Will have a high degree of integrity and a high sense of personal and professional ethics.
- Knowledge of event Health & Safety.
- Ability to consider and advice on the consequences of various courses of action, including an understanding of the repercussions on other activities.
- Ability to engender confidence of management and exercise good judgment in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize priorities and meet deadlines.
- Detailed attention to quality of deliverables.
