Operations Controller - DC Aviation Al Futtaim

Job description / Role

DC Aviation Al Futtaim is in the process of establishing a VVIP business aviation enterprise in Dubai, with the Middle East being one of the most dynamic, fastest growing aviation markets in the world.

The goal is to establish a top-of-the line flight operation, as well as maintenance services, for the most demanding customers in the region, with the latest design of business aircraft being our everyday working environment. Currently, the fleet comprises of Airbus ACJ319 and a Global Express XRS jets.

Backed by a German business jet operator who ask for challenges in their everyday work and are not afraid of treading on new grounds.

The Operations Controller will report to the Director Ground Operations and is responsible for the coordination and set up of all facets of ground operations to support the flight schedule.

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage all customer requests
- Arrange and coordinate all handling activities including 3rd party services
- Allocate all Ground Operations tasks and co-ordinate all resources
- Supervise all Customer Service Agent and Ramp Agent tasks
- Ensure maximum consideration is given to customer service standards at all times
- Arrange all runway slots and landing permits, ensure slot updates are managed during disruption
- Collate and distribute crew briefings including NOTAMs and weather
- Liaise with Air Traffic Agencies on all flight planning issues
- Co-ordinate all aircraft movements with Airfield Operations, Joint Control Room and Stand Allocation
- Arrange and co-ordinate immigration & customs services
- Prepares and distributes various reports to relevant departments as and when required including Daily Flight Notification
- Deal with all client problems on an on-going basis
- Manage disruption and ensure operators are kept up-to-date
- Monitor flight progress and issue all movement messages including DEP, ARR, DLA, NI etc.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Director of Ground Operations

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
High School Certificate
Valid unrestricted UAE drivers license essential
Previous experience within aviation in a similar role essential
VIP experience desirable
