Operations Controller

Job description / Role

Our client based in Dubai and they been dedicated to the efficient and cost effective logistics of beverage. Currently they have 1200 professionals and 43 offices all over the world and they put experience to work for their clients and taking care of the smooth flow of beverage of their entire operations. Due to expanding portfolio of clients they are now seeking a very good candidate for the Operations Controller role for their UAE operations.

The role is going to cover Documentation, Co-ordination, Client Management and Office management.

Also, who can perform the following tasks:
- Receive and enter orders in FLOW (ERP/ tracking & tracing data system). Update system timely for trans-shipments & arrivals.
- Ensure timely shipping is arranged in accordance with customers requested RDS, RDD & mode /equipment type.
- Handle Full set of Shipping Documents. Check correspondence of BLs, shipping invoices, packing list, COO etc.
- Responsible for costs & invoices booked properly and timely in the Financial Files.
- Maintaining paper file: print file control sheet, keeping copies of shipping docs, orders, quotations, invoices from vendors, invoices to customers, important correspondence.
- For export shipments: researching and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment taking in to account the cost, transit time and security.
- Provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

- Solid knowledge of shipping paperwork required for import & export of sea / air shipments to UAE.
- Strong knowledge of international Freight Forwarding, FCL/ LCL and Incoterms
- Strong computer skills (MS office; Knowledge of tracking & tracing system would be great advantage)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- 1+ year experience in Dubai in freight forwarding industry
- Must be on transferable visa or on spouse / fathers visa with NOC.
- Hardworking, fast learner, disciplined & ready to become integral part of our dynamic team
