Operations Engineer – Desalination Plant

Job description / Role

Operate and monitor MSF Desalination plant and its performance parameters and take appropriate action to correct deviations from established standards to ensure continuity of operations and provision of water production in a safe and reliable manner according to water demands.

Job-Specific Skills:

• Thorough understanding of all relevant operational processes.
• Thorough understanding of all relevant operational policies and procedures.
• Basic understanding of routine maintenance tasks.
• Thorough understanding of relevant operational control limits and tolerances.

Requirements

*Degree or diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics engineering / electrical and electronics engineering or equivalent trade certificate.
•Minimum five years hands-on experience in working Power & Desalination Plant operations; preferably gas/oil fired combined cycle plants.
•Must be computer capable with good Excel and Word knowledge as a minimum.
•Good communication skills.
•Successful candidate must be result oriented, self motivated and able to work in a team environment with limited direction.
•Must possess a strong decision making ability to handle normal and abnormal operation of the Plant.
