Job description / Role
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Supervises, monitors and implements production/ injection requirements and develops daily work program taking into account any amendments in requirements, planned maintenance or workover schedule. Ensures targets are met with minimum flaring/ liquid burning and/or desert dumping.
Supervises the safe and efficient start-up, running and shutdown of various process plant and equipment. Ensures that equipment preparation and start up procedures are strictly observed.
Monitors the running of such equipment and reports anomalies as detected.
Participates in major overhauls and shutdowns by discussing production/maintenance plans to determine most suitable time for system shutdowns; ensures shutdown plant are purged, gas free and safe for maintenance work.
Supervises the preparation of wells for well testing, as required. Supervises the well testing operations and ensures data is recorded and forwarded to concerned personnel.
Plans and supervises the execution of all field services activities as assigned. This includes:
- Wellhead maintenance including cleaning and servicing Xmas tree, SSVs, choke valves, isolation valves, etc..
- Xmas tree valve and wellhead seal testing.
- Piping/surface installations.
- Wellhead completion.
- Flowline maintenance.
- Track maintenance.
- MOL & Trunk Line pigging.
- Surface casing repairs.
- Handover and acceptance of wells to and from Drilling.
- Well security, plugging/unplugging.
- Liaison with production engineers on rigless operations.
- Mobile equipment utilization.
- Workshop activities including valve rehabilitation and pig redressing.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:-
B. Sc. in an Engineering discipline preferably mechanical or chemical
7 to 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
