Operations Engineer – Operations

Job description / Role

Our client is one of the world’s leading petroleum brands and they are currently looking to recruit an Operations Engineer, reporting to the Senior Operations Engineer, to join its Operations team in Sharjah.

Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

• Coordinating and operating the Gas Compressor station and distribution network ensuring the safe operation and reliable supply of gas to customers
• Supervising the day-to-day activities of Shift Dispatchers and Senior Dispatchers on the control of the network and the operation of all process equipment
• Monitoring start up and shutdown of machinery at the station and pipeline flows and pressures on the grid
• Assisting in the preparation of capital and revenue expenditure budgets and controlling expenditure ensuring it is within limits
• Taking lead action in trouble shooting activities to identify problem source and action to be taken

Requirements

This is an exciting role which requires only applicants with a degree in Engineering and at least 6 years experience in process operations engineering in the oil/gas industry with emphasis on rotating equipment including some supervisory experience.

You must also have:

• Good command of the English language and fluency in Arabic
• Valid UAE driving license
• Strong computer skills
• Team leadership skills
• Maintenance planning skills
