Operations Manager - Construction

Job description / Role

Inspire Selection are working on behalf of a medium sized General Contractor company based in Abu Dhabi, currently recruiting an Operations Manager for their Civil Construction division.

Reporting into the General Manager, the ideal candidate will have at least 15 years experience as an Operations Manager, with wide experience of the Abu Dhabi market.

Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for managing the daily operations, activities, and priorities of the Construction department.
- Managing the Project and Construction Managers at various project sites
- Responsible for multiple projects at various project sites throughout the UAE
- Provides leadership in the implementation and operation of overall operational goals.
- Oversees the planning, implementation and delivery of projects.
- Responsible for seeing all projects through completion.
- Develops and recommends policies for operations.
- Analyzes areas for needs and improvements.
- Provides the General Manager with updates on department projects.
- Maintains knowledge of Client expectations.
- Coordinates troubleshooting of complex multi-staff or multi-departmental issues.
- Responsible for maintaining proper staffing levels.
- Responsible for evaluating and assessing staff contributions and performance.

Requirements

- Must have a Bsc in Civil engineering
- Must have at least 15 years experience working as an Operations Manager
- Will have experience of the Abu Dhabi market and dealing with the various governmental bodies
- Must have FIDIC contracts experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects at various locations
- Experience of Buildings and Infrastructure projects
- Profit and Loss experience
