One of the Middle East’s most established retail groups are currently looking for a manager for their E-Commerce Operations, based in their Kuwait Headquarters. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining web site content acquisition and approvals to the highest standards for all brand sites. This person will be able to manage numerous workloads streams from internal, 3rd party, host brands and merchants to strict deadlines. Is sensitive to cultural differences and can also provide leadership to a team of content executives and assumes responsibility for hands-on content management and/or outsourcing as required.

Responsibilities:
• Take full ownership of the content strategy on company’s responsive and non-responsive websites and ensuring that we always deliver an excellent customer experience on all of our brand / market sites.
• Commission editorial and design work based on the content requirements of business teams and host brands across the organisation and the eCommerce function.
• Create and maintain best in class web content.
• Ability to drive editorial for website, marketing and email campaigns.
• Develop and implement SEO content strategy.
• Ability to lead CMS development & road map.
• Good understanding Omniture analytics.
• Manage business implementation of web content for various simultaneous projects whilst setting quality assurance standards and best practices.
• Create content for tactical landing pages and promotion pages in support of campaign activities.
• Provide and steer input into user centered design, usability testing, information and product architecture, copy management, visual design, UAT.
• Provide In-depth development and operational knowledge of all areas of online content management including, promotions, web analytics, writing and editing for the web, digital trends, applications including social media platforms, content management systems, and image-editing software.
• Provide out of hours support remotely as required by the demands of the business.
• Responsible for working within budget and to strict timelines.
• Ensure that content is managed across the site, in a timely, relevant, accurate and consistent manner all the time.
• Create and evaluate web content / production trends and research new technologies, and tools to help the Company minimise expense and manage overall costs.
• Lead by example and ensure adherence to all Company Department, and market policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Create policies and procedures specific to the department in order to increase efficiency and achieve operational objectives.
• Works with the E-group team, external agencies and suppliers on development projects, managing the timelines and deliverables.
• Liaise with other creative functions to ensure content standards and messaging on all produced designs.
• Communicate brand standards to web content executives as required, and approves content usage to comply with company standards on all published materials.

Requirements

The successful candidates will have:
• An education to degree level.
• Knowledge of key web content, navigation and in / out flow.
• Knowledge of key commercial systems.
• 5-7 years in eCommerce web content, organization, structuring & development. Ideally in Retail sector.
• In-depth high street retail experience.
• Must be able to manage a team of 4 or more.
• Multiple brand experience in different countries.
• Culturally sensitive.
• Organization, Prioritization, and Management skills.
• Fluent in Adobe suite, CRM software and ftp.
• Ability to motivate and influence team and individuals.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal / networking skills.
• User centered content design, usability testing, content information structure and architecture, copy management, and UAT.
