Operations Manager - Freight Forwarding - Projects / Oil and Gas - Muscat, Oman

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed Operations Manager to work for a leading international Freight Forwarding and Project Logistics company within their operations in Muscat, Oman.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all operational Oil and Gas freight forwarding activities in Oman, managing a team and being involved in sales and business development activities. Responsibilities will include:

• Managing day to day Oil and Gas freight forwarding activities
• Manage customs relationships
• Leading and managing a team of operational staff (including training and performance management)
• Work closely with and develop positive working relationships with clients
• Coordinate quality assurance to ensure that services meet company and client standards
• Be responsible for managing and implementing HSE initiatives
• Sales and Business Development activities
• Be involved in developing proposals, quotations and tenders

Personal requirements:

• Must have experience of Oil and Gas Freight Forwarding Operations
• Previous experience managing and leading a team is a must
• Previous experience in Oman is highly advantageous
• Experience of Sales, Business Development and Key Account Management activities is a plus
• Must have excellent communication skills
