Job description / Role
Millar Cameron is the global leader in recruitment for Emerging Markets, focusing on regions such as Africa, South America and the Middle East. Supporting some of the largest Agriculture firms around the world in their operations we are always in search of new talent with specific skillsets.
At present one of our key clients requires an Operations Manager for their organisation in West Africa. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for all areas of manufacturing
Directly responsible for each team leader and agents
Responsible for all areas of operations, including intake/production/ storage/ delivery
Reporting on a weekly basis with substantial reports to the Managing Director
Ensure our customers a quality mixture of wheat in order to guarantee them stable and also high quality flour
Aiming to continuously improve and implement new methods of the overall operations and its efficiency
Maintain order and discipline within the operational personnel, establishing rules and regulations that keep all staff to the highest standards.
New policies implemented into the operations manual, weekly monthly and annual control of balance sheets of production
Weekly monthly, semi-annual and also annual production reports
Reporting to the finance department with accurate inventory figures.
Responsible for detailed and accurate training of staff.

Requirements
Skills / Qualifications Requirements:
7+ years experience in grain
Degree level qualification
Demonstrate the ability to manage manufacturing facilities
Ability to adapt and work within the local culture and customs
Some locations, fluency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese is required.
