The RoleThe RoleOur Client, a prestigious and leading business group is looking for Operations Manager for their automotive retail division to join their expanding team in Bahrain. Operations manager will plan direct and coordinate the operations of an organization. The Operations manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies. Responsibilities: • Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and standard safety precautions of the automotive mechanic trade. • Knowledge of automotive systems including but not limited to steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, drive axles, fuel, cooling, electrical, and engine and body control systems. • Directs activities of workers engaged in testing new equipment and recommends purchase or rejection of equipment. • Assists sales personnel in adjusting customers’ service complaints. Determines work standards and evaluates workers’ performance. • Monitor operations to ensure that services rendered conform to company policy and standards. • Coordinate activities of staff personnel conducting research and testing program on automotive equipment considered for acquisition for such factors as operational performance, operational and maintenance costs, safety of operation, and compliance with environmental laws and regulations. • Direct procurement of all types of company-owned- and-operated automotive equipment, and materials, supplies, and parts required to maintain automotive equipment, garages, and storage facilities. • Coordinate automotive repair and maintenance services to obtain maximum utilization of automotive equipment and prevent operational delays in other departments. • Efficient and effective use of budgets and time management, Preparation of MIS, monthly reports / ad hoc reports etc. • Sound knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools and equipment of the automotive mechanic trade. • Profound skill in the use of tools and in operation of equipment, including computer diagnostic equipment utilized in the automotive technician trade. Skill in the diagnosis and repair of major defects in motor equipment. |
RequirementsRequirements• University degree in commerce & business administration. MBA a plus. • Candidate must have at least 10-15 years of work experience out of which 8 years relevant experience in the Gulf region. • Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing, relationship-building, and business development activities. • Fluency in written and spoken English a must.
