Job description / Role
My client, a leading supplier of Power Solutions in the Middle East, Africa and Asia is looking to fill in the post of OPERATIONS MANAGER.
The Operations Manager mainly supports the Branch and Sales Managers in market entry and expansion plans and studies. The position will be responsible for managing and supervising the company’s supply and logistics operations.
JOB TITLE: Operations Manager
REPORTING TO: General Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (Logistics, Service and Warehouse), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
2. Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
3. Oversee logistics operations, planning, systems and controls and ensure that the organization’s resources are utilized to their maximum potential.
4. Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
Requirements
Qualifications/Attainments
• A graduate of Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Post graduate in Engineering (Master of Engineering)
• MBA graduate is an asset
Relevant Knowledge and Experience
• With at least 5 years' experience in a Managerial position in the electro-mechanical industry, preferably in the UAE and / or Gulf region.
• Knowledge of the principles and procedures of Supply Chain Management (design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities)
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.
Skills and Personal Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills
• Bilingual/bicultural
• Good computer skills
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity at all times.
Circumstances
• Willingness to travel including Afghanistan
• With clean driving license
