Job description / Role
Our client is part of one of the regions biggest business groups. Prominent in the EPC civil & electromechanical field and heavily involved in projects to meet the increasing national power & water demand, they provide engineering & contracting services across power generation, industrial, desalination, Oil & Gas and Construction.
Working as part of an international consortium on a 5 year Operations & Maintenance contract, requirement for an experienced desalination Plant Operations Manager for a career defining position on one of the regions largest and most anticipated ongoing desalination projects.
This is a high capacity (30 MIGD) Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant utilising MSF desalination technology.
Job Responsibilities:
Achieve and sustain plant operational reliability and dependability targets through-out the plant's expected life by effective management of:
Day to day operational management.
Meet KPI's for safety, production, performance and budget.
Staff recruitment, training and development.
Addressing short to long term engineering and operational issues.
Making commercially minded business decisions.
Performance management and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Requirements:
BSc or high relevant engineering degree
10-15 years experience in water desalination or water processing plants
Proven experience with RO desalination operational management
Strong leadership and supervisory background
Previous Middle East experience is desirable
Willing to be based in Kuwait on a permanent basis
