Operations Manager – Tissue Converting Plant

Job description / Role

We have a client based here in Dubai, a group of companies looking to hire OPERATIONS MANAGER for their Paper Factory ( Tissue Converting Plant). The group is based here in Dubai but the Factory and the post are based in Angola.

MINIMUM 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN TISSUE CONVERTING PLANT.

Duties:

Management and supervision of production

Leads efforts to continuously control costs, improve efficiency and increase productivity. I

Monitors budgets and review financial statements.

Manage staffing plans and employees.

Creates and implements policies and procedures, coordinates with leaders from other departments and interacts with higher management.

Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;

Ensuring that the production is cost effective;

Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;

Working out the human and material resources needed;

Drafting a timescale for the job;

Estimating costs and setting the quality standards;

Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;

Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment;

Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes;

Liaising among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers;

Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals;

Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;

Identifying training needs.

Determine methods and strategies for maximizing the firm's financial, human and material assets with a view to meeting the production schedule and objectives. Must use critical thinking skills and leadership ability to make and implement good decisions. Continual tasks of communicating, coordinating and resolving conflict demand ability to speak persuasively and listen effectively.
