Operations Manager

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading organization in the Building Materials sector, are recruiting an Operations Manager responsible for warehousing, logistics, inventory & dispatch across the Eastern, Western, and Central region of KSA, based in Dammam.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible to oversee end to end operations including warehousing, dispatch, logistics, and physical inventory management for the Eastern, Central, and Western regions of Saudi Arabia. While reporting to the Supply Chain Director, your main responsibilities will include:

• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring inbound/outbound activities from all owned warehouses across KSA (main hubs and other warehouses)
• Managing third party transport companies as well as own fleet
• Ensuring HSE standards are maintained as well as maintenance of machinery, vehicles, and equipment
• Setting up new processes and improving efficiency of current processes
• Managing and reporting on KPIs as well as other performance measures/appraisals
• Managing a direct team of 5 and total team of 50+ effectively
• Ensuring optimal space utilization in warehouses and efficient use of Material Handling Equipment keeping in mind quality standards as well as budget constraints
• Managing physical inventory in all warehouses by controlling material movement and company dispatch process
• Coordinating with other departments within the company

The Operations Manager will also be required to travel regularly within other regions of Saudi Arabia to oversee Western and Central region operations.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this Operations Manager role, must:

• Have a Bachelors degree, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain engineering.
• 5+ years experience in warehousing, dispatch, logistics, and inventory management in the building materials, construction, cement or similar industry
• Knowledge of operations in the building materials/cement or construction industry
• Experience of managing a large team of 50+ total staff.
• Ability to manage operations across multiple regions (Eastern, Central, and Western)
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong presentation, communication and analysis skills in advanced level for Excel and PowerPoint applications
• Fluency in English and preferably Arabic
• Preferably be based in Saudi Arabia currently
