The Role


The Role

The scope of this position is to manage the Senior Project Managers to ensure the delivery of their projects on time and within Budget, keeping close liaison with other departments to facilitate you task.

Develop and implement project execution strategy, ensure the implementation of quality control standards and cost control on projects for on time and within budget completion.

Direct and manage projects from the contract award to completion and hand over maintaining schedule and budget limit.

Establish and maintain effective safety, health and environmental policy and ensure strict adherence to its set requirements.

Your responsibility includes selecting and appointing Projects Managers for the newly awarded projects and helping them in building the required teams and resources.

You will be responsible to track and monitor all the active projects and ensure they maintain or exceed the required progress within the budget, and take the appropriate corrective measures to recover any delay and control the cost.

Conducted site visits & periodic meetings to monitor progress throughout the projects cycle

You will ensure the maximum utilization of the company resources and to achieve the optimum productivity out of your manpower and equipment through setting KPI's and monitoring them.

Work on Training and development of your subordinates to improve projects performance and enhance individual career development.

Reports directly to the CEO.

Requirements


Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, attributes and experience:

• Educated to degree level either in Project Management/Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 to 15 years experience as an Operations Manager/ Projects Manager or as Senior Project Director in a large Contractor with experience on major projects.
• Strong commercial orientation, understanding of P&L and project costing.
• A strong leader how can motivate and inspire his subordinates.
• Strong negotiator.
• Adaptable and used to having a hands on approach and work under pressure.
• Committed to delivering on time and meeting deadlines.
• A driven individual who has the ability to multi task effectively whilst managing a number of teams and being accountable for multiple projects.
• Aged 45-51.
• Computer literate and familiar with construction related software especially project management and cost control packages.
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage but not essential.
