Operations Manager - Events
TGP is a Dubai based company specializing in exhibition stand design and construction, event management, graphics and commercial interiors. TGP draws on the expertise of its divisions to work towards one goal: delivering world class,commercially successful projects from conception to implementation.
Scope of role:
To ensure the successful delivery of multiple events within budget and to a standard that exceeds client expectations.
Responsibilities:
Prioritising project execution.
Managing manpower allocation for each event.
Identifying potential manpower schedule complications and finding solutions to solve them.
Identifying methods to motivate team members, no matter how large the workload.
Managing multiple events in the UAE throughout the year.
Supervising client and supplier relationships and on-site event implementation.
Managing the event budgets and identifying cost saving opportunities.
Replacing the Head of Events in client meetings,when needed.
Participating in additional complex projects that require extra assistance when needed.
Overseeing proposal development and ensuring that the division's standards of excellence are met.
Detecting operational inefficiencies in the division and proposing improvements that will enhance the overall team performance.
Requirements
Project management expertise and previous event agency experience.
The ability to interact pleasantly with team members and colleagues and previous experience managing a multicultural team.
The ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
Excellent time management and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Excellent negotiation skills to effectively deal with suppliers and clients.
Ability and willingness to work long hours and over weekends when an event requires so.
