Operations Manager

Job description / Role

A Dubai based governmental organization are looking for an Operations Manager to help design and oversee key operational activities related to its Strategic Business Units.

Reporting to the Head of Strategy, this individual will be responsible for the development of the groups operations framework in alignment with the groups strategy. They will go on to facilitate its implementation and roll-out across the business.

Responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Head of Strategy and CEO to develop strategic plans and accomplish operational goals set by the board.
- Supporting the group in developing standard operating procedures and other business governance frameworks across its activities.
- Designing and implementing systems, tools and other mechanisms that will measure the effectiveness and efficiency of key processes.
- Working in collaboration with Managers across the group, developing and detailing the business and operations requirements for the implementation of various IT systems.
- Directing the development of appropriate Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence, systems and Enterprise Resource Planning systems to support effective decision making.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree from a reputable university, along with extensive experience in operations management and quality assurance. This person must be a certified European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) assessor, and have implemented both EFQM and Process Clarification Framework (PCF) in organizations.

Other requirements include:
- Knowledge and experience in implementation of BI, ERP, MIS and other IT systems.
- Analytical thinker with strong communication skills, able to prioritize, negotiate and influence.
- Experience in managing outsourced service providers
- Experience in GCC markets a plus
