The Role


Overall Purpose of the Job:

To manage and control the technology and services available to Saudi operations based out of Al-Khobar. Charged with maintaining the Technical Standards of the operations products/services and will provide product, operational support, and technical advice to Business Development personnel. The role also provides a conduit for the free flow of best practice, new technology and product upgrades to Saudi Aramco and the Expro In-Country team.

Principal Accountabilities:
To ensure that all operations are performed in a professional, efficient, safe and cost effective manner to the complete satisfaction of the Client

To exploit any opportunity for the expansion and development of the Business in Saudi Arabia

To effectively ‘manage’ the operations by ensuring tight cost control in relation to operational requirements. Assist in formulating the income and cost budgets with the Saudi Country Manager and BD Manager.

Monitor performance to ensure excellent levels are maintained and areas for improvement are identified. Create a culture of excellence amongst all staff through leadership by example

To provide specialist and technical liaison with Clients and Expro’s Area Operations and product development departments.

To identify opportunities for technology based new business and develop appropriate strategies for delivering these in conjunction with the Region Management Team, Area Manager and Group Operations Business Streams.

Where applicable to assist in the preparation of tenders/price proposals and their associated commercial evaluations and business cases.

Through close liaison with the Geo Market Manager, BD Manager and Service Coordinators and their teams, assist in the delivery of new technology to the client.

Ensure the flow of information across Operations teams in the Middle East area.

Support Operations teams in driving improvements and opportunities for increasing revenue.

Collaborate with Clients in technology initiatives for enhancing performance and improving our margins.

Focal point for Client technical audits and to chair regular meeting to discuss operational issues and share updates on the latest company policies, structure, future plans, technologies and safety related topics.

To propose and justify the need for capital expenditure to support and expand the business.

To ensure that operations month end reports and operational statistics are delivered to the Area Manager and Region Director in a timely manner

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

Extensive experience in wells related subjects including the specific technology being provided.

Strong communication, negotiating and interpersonal skills.

Commercial awareness and a bias for identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
