Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Position Purpose:

Management SAYGA Port Sudan silos equipment operation and maintenance.

•Development and implementing of a well developed Maintenance and Production Strategy. Managing the Asset Management Improvement Program.
•Reviewing, implementing and ensuring compliance to the Engineering and Spares business processes.
•Acting as a team member on the AMiP steering committee
•Manage performance of the department by utilizing effective KPI’s and continuous improvement.
•Manage production as scheduled.
•Plan production and maintenance.
•Implement and use OnKey and Sage and ensure the effective integration with other systems.
•Ensuring that job descriptions are developed listing required skills and competencies.
•Ensure development of leadership in the organisation structure.
•Implement and maintain the assessment and management of employee performance.
•Develop and execute training plan for subordinates
•Ordering and purchasing of the spares
•Compilation of the operation and maintenance budget ,Expenditure alignment.
•Assist with the scoping and planning of new capital projects, asset acquisition and disposal
•Ensure that SHE laws and procedures are complied with.
•Performing or assisting with any tasks delegated to him by his supervisors.

Dimensions:
•Mainenance team (1supervisor,1planer,1store keeper,1local procurement officer,2engineer,11technician,3helper)
•Operation team(1supervisor,6operators,3shunter driver,3generator operator,21loading labour)
•Supportive organizational structure with HR, Financial, IT, Training, Stores backup
•Specialist consultation backup as required.
•Other job nature support requirement (transportation, communication etc..)
•Budgeted funds

Requirements

B.Sc Engineering degree (MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL)
RELATED UPGRADUATION STUDY

Experience in the implementation and operation of a CMMS and be up to date with the latest developments and trends in asset management
English language written&spoken Computer literacy – Microsoft Windows
Knowledge of plant and operations
Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and systems
Be familiar with the concepts of project planning and scheduling, including the use of project management software .
Knowledge of financial systems
Good communication skills towards all levels within the company

Must have a pro-active problem solving approach in the anticipation of problem areas and taking corrective actions to eliminate deviations.

Be goal orientated, stable, show integrity and be able to make decisions under pressure
Well developed leadership skills and experience in IR related problems .

A minimum of 7 to 10 years strong engineering/maintenance &operation management experience.
3 to 5 years management
experience in a grain handling or relevant plant.
