Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Client is a multi-national equipment supplier to the Oil & Gas Industry. They manufacture and supply specialist oilfield equipment to various end users across the globe.

The Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
- Plan, lead, direct and coordinate the manufacturing of products in compliance with goals and objectives.
- Establish and control conditions of production to satisfy Customer and Quality specifications while maximizing the efficiency of the Production processes and personnel.
- Plan, organize and coordinate operations, in accordance with established policies, principles, and procedures, to deliver the most effective return on assets through the efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
- Review production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to assure attainment of business objectives.
- Manage spending against agreed budget, controlling spend relative to changes in production volume. Participate in the annual expense and capital budget development for the department.
- Implements and drives continuous improvement activities by eliminating non valued added activities in the manufacturing process (waste elimination).
- Improve manpower utilization and schedule stability that allows for a maximum return on efficiencies.
- Train and develop production personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations. Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned areas of responsibility to consistently deliver safety, quality and performance improvements.

Requirements

- Good knowledge and experience oil and gas equipment manufacturing industry
- Preferably holds a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Preferably 10 years experience with minimum of 5 years production management experience
- A strong project management and people management skills
- Strong technical knowledge and technically hands-on
- A proven track record of success in budgeting, cost reduction, scheduling, staffing, training, and development of personnel and managing the production process.
- Able to motivate people and hold them accountable for performance
- Proficient Microsoft Office Skills
- Valid UAE Drivers License
- A reliable team player
