The RoleThe RoleReporting to the Manager of Operations – AFS Custody, the Operations – Officer will ensure the safeguarding of securities and cash for all funds under management by accurately performing various operational functions/analysis. These functions include reconciliation, identification, and resolution of transactions within a limited timeframe. Analyzes and manages the information flow from various sources such as custodian/bank network, Cash Management, Accounting, Legal, and Business Assurance divisions/departments and broker/dealers to diminish operational risk. Develops and maintains individual relationships with representatives of the custodian/bank network and provides support to all divisions. |
RequirementsRequirementsMinimum Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or relevant experience. Financial services industry experience. Strong working knowledge of Custody business market practices, processes and procedures. A background in fund operations or funds administration will be considered. Possesses an in-depth understanding of custody processes and operations. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Strong time management skills - Experience in an analyst lead position preferred. Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously within a tight timeframe Good analytical skills. Must be able to recognize high-risk items and escalate those items or seek assistance to minimize loss. Must have the ability to develop solid action plans to resolve daily operational issues / problems. Ability to plan out and prioritize work, accurately manage and communicate status and meet agreed upon schedule/deadlines. |
