Operations Specialist

Job description / Role

Objective:

The position overseas the Operations and Network Management relating to cargo control.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage inbound cargo flows and forecast all Middle East loading on ship services for space

Cargo control, deployment feeders, VSC coordination in Middle East for cargo delivery to avoid rolls and assist UAE cargo team when required.

Work with marine operations team to ensure ship is fully utilized

Coordinate with Cargo Controllers for delivery plans to be executed in a safe manner.

Gain revenue through slot sell to third parties on ships with open space

Review network and initiate savings

Reporting to: Director Operations
Subordinates: 8 indirect reports
Number required: 1
Duration: Permanent
Gross monthly base salary: 11000 plus family benefits

Requirements

Nature and length of previous experience:

Minimum 5 years industry experience in UAE.

Specialist knowledge:

Shipping, Port Operations, Cargo delivery

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge from a shipping company in the delivery of cargo and the potential day to day issues that may bring.
