Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

You will be responsible to manage and supervise the shift operations and any other tasks required to be under- taken during the shift. In doing so, ensuring that performance and utilization is optimized.

You must have experience of working in a logistics or warehouse environment.

Supervise and carry out all the inbound, outbound, Value add, Rework operations in a manner consistent with the Port & Customs, JAFZA Health, Safety, EHS and other local government requirements and policies.

To ensure that all inbound and outbound orders are processed and available to the client as per the agreed timelines and SOP of the individual client.

Train and Develop operations team to deliver excellent performance at all times and ensure that all staff are aware of company policies, procedures and developments through effective team briefing.

Supervise the destruction of product in line with MMI accounting policies and the rules and regulations of local government bodies

Communicate and co-ordinate with external stakeholders e.g. Customer Service on task status , operational issues and customer deliveries

Provide daily shift performance and operational status reports

General:

Plan resources to achieve daily task plans to minimize overtime and ensure execution of core operational service levels
Ensure all daily shift performance, KPI, Service standard reporting is done
Supervise and improve daily warehousing operations (receiving, put away, inventory, picking, packing, delivery) in line with agreed operational plans and targets
Ensure full compliance with EHS (Environment Health & Safety), Port & Customs and other local authority rules and regulations. Responsible for Health & Safety within the operations when on duty.
To contribute to the efforts of the management team by continuously reviewing processes for possible improvements and costs savings and those financial repercussions of all operations effort are well understood.
To resolve operational problems. Report all incidents / accidents immediately.
Continuously look at opportunities for increasing productivity and process management through use of People, Processes and Technology.
Provide management information and to ensure all management communication / briefing occur in an effective method.
Ensure MHE are operated by Authorized staff and are maintained in good working condition and available at all times.
Ensure good house keeping at all times.
Ensure Expired / Unfit stock is segregated in a separate area and initiate the destruction process in line with company policy and the local authority’s requirements.
Ensure all Warehouse Assets & Consumables including Pallets, Stretch Films, and Packing Materials are properly received and accounted for.
Provide support to Operations Team Leaders and Logistics Administration
To counter sign any discrepancies on Receiving , Put-away , Picking, Dispatch or Counting and complete follow up investigations
To counsel operators and assistants on individual performance issues and maintain written records of performance issues and report to Logistics Operations Manager

Requirements

Technical & Academics:

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce / Business / Logistics & Supply Chain.
Sound knowledge of WMS including use of RF technology.
Computer literate, able to compile reports and spreadsheet analysis using MS office suite.
Thorough knowledge of latest industry standards relating to stock control methods.
Previous experience of FMCG environments and products essential.
Sound knowledge of expiry controls.
Min 4 yrs experience of managing small teams of diverse nationalities and abilities.
Experience of modern warehouse layouts, including racking configuration and pick face.
