Operations Supervisor

Job description / Role

The Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of project. The successful candidate will be required to oversee reporting crucial to the efficient operation of the project. Directly oversee the distribution of all cargo from the yard to respective site locations, including assisting in the management of staff and efforts to manage time and efficiency of the project.

Responsibilities

- Oversees/supervises dispatching operation.
- Responsible to pre-alerts to client.
- Oversee the daily reporting for receiving and inventory management.
- Plan the inbound operations and coordinating with the Yard team to plan receiving.
- Oversee creation of load plans for dispatches from the warehouse/yard to site.
- Where possible improve the operational systems, processes and policies in line with current project objectives.
- Responsible for creating clear delivery notes and packing lists for drivers.
- Oversee all related data/document collection
- Liaise with drivers regarding the tracking of cargo.
- Planning the dispatching operations for every week
- Ensuring that all cargo is dispatched within the given time frame with all the requirement documentation and checks complete.
- Ensure that employees handle their tasks correctly and efficiently.
- Ensure that Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork is collected by transport coordinator from drivers.
- Intervene in operations when required.

Requirements

- Experience working within logistics and warehousing.
- Good communication skills
- Capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Capable of undertaking new requirements with short notice
- Good administration skills
