The Role


Responsible to ensure safe and reliable operations of a process plant from the well head to the point of delivery. Managing production and operations in safe and reliable manner. Ensure uninterrupted flow of product through the system. Identify key bottlenecks in the plants and come up with recommendation as to how to improve the situation.
1. To support the Onshore Site Manager (OSM) in daily Operations and delivering the production targets in a safe manner, monitoring BPP HSE policies/procedures and ensuring production optimisation
2. Provide visible and engaging front-line HSE leadership, by personal interactions with the operation / maintenance technicians and contractors’ employees. Sets, creates and maintains a successful HSE culture and delivery through implementation of Group, Segment, SPU and Area initiatives & processes
3. Actively ensures that contractors understand and follow BP's HSE requirements. Monitor their performance to deliver BP expectations
4. Actively communicates with entire team, building a sense of trust, harmony and teamwork. Goal is to maximize employee’s job satisfaction through meaningful dialogue and engagement
5. Assist the OSM in the employees midterm / annual appraisal process
6. Maintain good working relationship with stakeholders in community (land owners & contractors) and ensure all the issues are resolved at the first level
7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in a proactive manner and close the CTM tasks
8. Provide input to the OSM on OPEX and prepare respective zone annual budget
9. Ensure the implementation of OMS (Operating Management System) BP’s operating philosophy in the respective zone
10. Ensure the sales gas and crude oil specs are met and the sales agreements are followed vigorously
11. Provide input to the OSM in evaluating man power and training needs in the respective zone
12. Assist the OSM in delivering the production and HSE targets
13. Ensure all the operating parameters are within the operating limits
14. Identify and trouble shoot different bottlenecks in the system and coordinate with the respective teams for their removal
15. Ensure all safety critical equipments SCEs are being properly maintained with 0 backlog
16. Prepare shutdown plan and ensure the facility is safely shutdown and brought back on-line
17. Ensure the pigging schedule for trunk lines and water disposal wells WDW is followed
18. Carry out monthly pressure drop surveys and recommend to reduce the pressure drops across various points to enhance production
19. Carry out quarterly annulus pressure surveys to maintain well integrity
20. Coordinate with the Petroleum engineering team PET for well / jet-pump optimization, well testing and other rig-less well intervention jobs

Qualifications:
Education / Certifications: Bachelors in Mechanical / Chemical / Petroleum or any related engineering

Experience: 3 – 6 years experience in Oil & Gas Industry

Good knowledge of operating within a process plant or oil field/ gas field, working with high pressure systems (vessels, pipelines, separators, towers, gas dehydration systems, gas sweetening plants)

Understanding of how to start up a process plant, manage and stabilize operations. Thorough knowledge of permit to work systems and other HSE requirements within the oil and gas industry.
