Operator Account Executive (must speak French)

Reporting to: Head of VIP Relationships

The Role Objectives;
This position is to support the VIP Relationship Manager in building relationships with target companies invited to attend the organisations Series events free of charge – principally located in Africa & the Middle East.

The candidate will be judged on their effectiveness in:

•Working on hot and cold lists and generating as many daily conversations within the target organisations as possible
•Generating hard registrations from the target companies to attend Company Series events
•Collecting soft referrals and additional names to add to the databases
•Securing attendance from the board and C-level executives of the target operators
•Supporting the VIP Relationship manager in their communications with event sponsors and helping her to facilitate the networking at Com events of between these top-tier operators and our exhibitors and sponsors

Remit of the role:

•Telephone based communications forms 80% of this role so must be comfortable hitting call rates and call times of at least 50 calls and 1.5 hours a day
•Maximise attendance of key individuals within target organisations at company Events
•Ability to bypass gate-keepers, identify selected individuals in target companies and persuade them to attend Com events with as many relevant colleagues as possible
•Create a comprehensive database of key individuals within target operators and feed this to the wider team – in particular research and sales

•Attend our events when required and be an effective company ambassador and networking facilitator

1.Principal tasks & responsibilities

•Communicate with current customers and upsell their colleagues and cross-sell them on to other Company events
•Work independently and on your own initiative to source new leads within specified target companies and entreat them to attend the event
•To gain a thorough understanding of the Company Series events and communicate our value proposition to our core customers
•Collect as much contact information as possible, in a comprehensive database, to widen our breadth and depth of clients in each target operator
•To process the necessary administrative work quickly and efficiently always bearing in mind the best use of your time to maximise efficiency for the business
•To solicit feedback from clients and to act on this where appropriate but to ensure all commercial opportunities are reported back to the wider team
•To up-hold our standards of customer service and respond professionally, diligently and in a timely manner to all customer requests
•Fulfil as much pre-show administrative work and on-site introductions as necessary to ensure that the networking demands of our sponsorship and exhibitions stakeholders are exceeded and they will re-sign on site

2.Dimensions

The Operator Account Executive is responsible for dealing with customers (principally from Africa and the Middle East) on a day to day basis. Core hours will be 8.30am – 5.30pm including one hour for lunch. 8.30am is the required start time in order to cater for the difference in time-zones. An 8.00am start will be required during peak periods before an event.

Essential
•Proven delegate telephone sales experience
•French speaker

Desirable
•Some knowledge of Telecoms desirable but not essential
•Strong administration and organisational skills
•Must have good face-to-face meeting skills
