Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Apps and DB administrator is responsible to manage and administer the application and databases and ensure their availability and performance.

The role is heavily dependent on management of Oracle ERP platform as it is main application used at the organization.

Requirements

- Maintain and administer applications and databases and related computing environments along with the other team members.
- Maintain libraries and binaries of the applications at central location and manage Definitive media library.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures related to applications in order to protect data, software and related information.
- Perform application and database backups.

Oracle ERP related specific responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
- Take care of the Database design and implementation.
- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
- Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).
- Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.

Functional Skills:
- Install, Configure and fine tune Oracle apps and Database.
- Applying database patch.
- Understand and manage application configuration.
- Understand application and database configuration.
