Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is currently recruiting an Oracle Solaris and Network Administrator to be based in Dubai.

Main Scope of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance tasks associated with an Oracle Solaris server environment including:
• Creating/Managing user and service accounts.
• Installation/configuration of Oracle Solaris server monitoring tools.
• Oracle Solaris Server configuration changes, patches and hot-fixes.
• Oracle Solaris Server backup health and history.
• System performance and availability monitoring
• Build and deploy servers in a physical and virtual environment including:
• Work with cross-function teams to understand system requirements.
• Daily Backup on VERITAS Net Backup.
• Installation and configuration of Operating system.
• Troubleshoot server issues using various internal and external resources.
• Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring tasks or problems.
• Deliver regular health-check reports to line-manager or as requested by management.
• Design, update and automate new builds for systems, storage and miscellaneous Software/hardware.
• Contribute to defining policies and procedures in areas of Security, Data Privacy, Manageability, High Availability, Enterprise backups and Disaster Recovery.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of related procedures, system configuration standards, maintenance and upgrades.

Main Scope of Duties and Responsibilities for Networks:

Windows server 2003 & 2008 DC ,ADC, Group Policies ,DHCP,DNS,RAS,WSUS,WDS,FTP,HTTP
Windows Exchange server 2003 ,2010 Backup ,managing Data Base ,event view
Windows xp,windows 7,windows 8 troubleshooting
CCTV backup and restore troubleshooting

Requirements

Essential requirements for this position:

Should have working experience of at least 4 to 6 years.
Candidate must be able to speak Hindi & English
Strong Oracle/Solaris experience
Strong Networking experience
Degree in relevant field required
