The Role


The Role


Atkins has been appointed by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning (MMUP) to support the establishment of a Central Planning Office that will coordinate current and planned, road, metro and other major infrastructure projects in Qatar. The Central Planning Office (CPO) is a single coordinating body responsible for overseeing all major project work in Qatar.
As part of the Corporate Governance Function within the CPO we are currently looking for an Organisational Development (OD) specialist to join our team. You will form part of a team of four OD specialists, reporting to the Head of Organisational Development, you will be responsible for the successful implementation and coordination of all Organisational Development (OD) activities within the CPO.

Responsibilities
The role of the OD Analysts will be to partner with the business to design, develop, and implement CPO specific organisational development processes as well as organisation-specific activities that improve organisational efficiency and leadership effectiveness.

This includes:
Organizational design
Change management
Strategic planning
Talent management
Succession planning
Prioritising and developing organisational effectiveness interventions
Identifying, tracking and analysing metrics to measure organisational effectiveness solutions
Building, enhancing and executing Leadership Development programs to increase organisational leadership capabilities, employee engagement
Enhancing executive/ leadership development
Mentoring and coaching.

Degree qualified as minimum in a relevant subject such as Organisational Psychology, HR, or OD
Minimum of ten years related experience ideally in a similar environment (such as Central Government or Blue Chip organisations)
Excellent skills in statistical analysis
Organisational skills and ability to develop, implement, and evaluate projects for continuous improvement
Seasoned presenter with the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences at all levels of the organisation
Demonstrated ability to understand complex, multi-project environments and be able to quickly diagnose potential risks and issues
Ability to influence leaders
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and decision making competencies
Advanced skills with Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Technical savvy with web-based processes and technology in support of OD needs
Certifications in assessment tools and methodologies such as OPQ32 (level A and B), MBTI etc would be advantageous
