Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose

To work with senior management to develop and implement Organizational Development plans in order to achieve strategic business objectives and deliver results. This includes suggesting methods of optimizing the organization structure, setting HR Policies and applying relevant benchmarking practices.

Key Accountabilities

• Implement Organization Development strategies that are aligned to the organization’s strategic plans
• Review the organization structure and suggest methods to optimize the structure in order to achieve / deliver business results
• Develop and propose HR policies and framework of organization structure to Management
• Analyze and recommend compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive packages and ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards
• Ensure critical positions for the company are identified and Compensation and Benefits Structure allows to retain and attract critical positions
• Support in planning the organization’s Manpower requirements and Manpower budget
• Supervise and ensure grading structure is well-linked to job descriptions and the labour market
• Review and sign off content on all Job descriptions formulated by direct reporting staff
• Recommend incentive based schemes linked to Performance to management
• Develop policies for Promotions, Increments, Transfers, Deputations and Retainers and ensure that the policies are well-communicated to all management
• Supervise the progress of Career Development Plans and ensure they are implemented
• Maintain a framework for the organization structure based on business requirements and objectives
• Liaise with other departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of Organizational Development in order to progress the People Policies
• Set departmental objectives which are aligned with the people strategy requirements
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR Policies and provide suitable interpretation to directors and managers within the organization

Requirements

Key Skills + Qualifications

Previous experience
• 10-15 years of HR experience
• 10-12 years of progressive experience in Organization Planning and Development
• Strong experience in the application of the Mercer Grading structure
• Strong strategic experience as well as "hands on” experience in developing and implementing incentive schemes

Skills and competencies
• Good working knowledge of HR theory and best practices
• Reflects skills required to evaluate and analyze business objectives in order to identify requirements related to organization structure as well as grading structures
• Strong interpersonal, team work and communication skills
• Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results
• Effective Management and Leadership skills
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Superior oral & written communication skills in English (Arabic is an added advantage)
