Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Assists in developing policies and procedures that are related to organization development and classification in order to ensure consistency and professionalism.
- Handles and implements the organization development initiatives while working closely with the various Division and Department Heads across NAKILAT.
- Advises Management on change and organizational development requirements in order to meet the business objectives of NAKILAT, and based on clear analysis and benchmarks of how other leading shipping companies are structured.
- Develops, reviews and updates NAKILAT job descriptions in coordination with NAKILAT different Divisions and Departments, using the appropriate tools, these include interviews, questionnaires, job analysis, etc., to ensure that all NAKILAT job descriptions are complete and accurate.
- Handles all manpower planning and budgeting activities while ensuring compliance with overall HR policies and procedures.
- Works continuously on enhancing the manpower planning process.
- Liaises with the Recruitment function in order to align the Qatarization targets and the manpower plans.
- Defines the behavioral and technical competencies and their respective proficiency levels that are required to perform the various jobs effectively in coordination with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Coordinates with the different functions within NAKILAT in order to ensure that the competency framework is still relevant and makes necessary adjustments when necessary.
- Coordinates with the Learning and Development function in the development of the competency matrices and performance management system and ensure that competencies are properly linked to the performance management system.
- Documents and maintains related records and documents.
- Performs other tasks and duties that may be from time to time required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of NAKILAT.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Human Resources or any other related field.
- A certification in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution is a plus (e.g. PHR, SPHR).
- A minimum of 5 years of HR experience in a multicultural environment is required with a strong focus on Organization Design, Manpower planning, Competency Modelling.
- Middle East experience is preferable, alternatively exposure to multiple geographies.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Good business communications skills- both oral and written
- Ability to work proactively, largely independently, and with limited need for supervision.
- Attention to Details/Concern for Order and Quality.
- Analytical Thinking.

(known as Nakilat, which means carriers in Arabic) is a Qatari-listed shipping company established by the State of Qatar to own, operate and manage LNG vessels and to provide shipping and marine-related services to a range of participants within the Qatari hydrocarbon sector. Nakilat owns 54 LNG vessels, making it the largest LNG ship owner in the world. Our fleet of vessels transport LNG produced from Qatars North Field, the worlds largest non-associated gas field with approximately 15% of the worlds total proven reserves to global markets. These vessels, ordered from Korean shipyards, incorporate the latest technology for safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation of LNG.
