Job description / Role
Objective: To effectively increase the sales and build a wider and more profitable customer base.
Main Responsibilities:
1) To have a complete understanding of products, their uses, benefits and differences.
2) Ability to ask relevant questions to learn more about the product.
3) Updating the Manager on a daily/weekly basis with the current days/weeks sales report, including orders received, orders lost and reasons, new products being used by the customer, new products being demanded by the customer, difficulty faced, etc.
4) Following company pricing and credit guidelines.
5) Timely collection of payments from credit customers.
6) Solving customers problems quickly and efficiently, while not causing any loss to the company.
7) Increasing sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items as well as new products.
8) Promoting and selling overages, damaged and discontinued items.
9) Handling customer complaints and returns, while showing a positive attitude.
10) Advising the Manager when stock is low of a product.
11) Initiating physical inventory count and updating the relevant person with any discrepancies.
12) Inquiring about new items in stock list and showing a genuine interest in learning about them.
13) Assisting and guiding store keepers on best possible way to store goods.
14) Maintaining current knowledge of market prices for store items.
Reporting to: Commercial Manager / Managing Director
Number required: 5
Duration: Permanent, long-term position
Desired start date: Immediate
Probation: No probation period
Working hours: Sat - Thu 8am-6pm
Travel requirements: Travel within country for sales meetings
Gross monthly base salary: AED 2500 - AED 7000 - depending on candidate experience and skill
Commission / Bonus: Exciting commission and bonus structure in place
Other Benefits: Housing allowance, travel allowance, biennial air ticket to home country, medical allowance
Requirements
University Qualifications: Bachelors degree
Nature and length of previous experience: Relevant experience and knowledge about Safety Garments and other Safety & Hardware Products
Specialist Knowledge:
1) Good contacts in the one or more of the following industries: Marine, Oil & Gas, Electrical, Steel, etc.
2) Ability to close sales deals and effectively follow-up on payments.
3) Prior experience in dealing with new customers and generating positive leads.
4) A valid UAE driving license.
Soft Skills and Personality traits:
1) Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
2) Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and should be able to easily learn our database software.
3) Excellent written and spoken English. Any other language known is an added advantage.
