The Role


The Role


Our client an international ships agency has an immediate requirement for an experienced PA/HR Manager to be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director you will provide administrative and secretarial support, Independently perform a wide variety of highly responsible and complex duties including a range of human resource management and administration activities.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Full secretarial duties, correspondence, diary management
• Correspond with the members of the management team on behalf of the Director
• Responsible for travel arrangements, hotel reservations, and transportation arrangements of customers and senior management
• Assist with Monthly Reports to be submitted to head office in the UK
• Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations
• Arrange and attend meetings, prepare minutes of the meeting
• Responsible for updating and consolidating the Group’s Balanced Scorecard
• Responsible for the recruitment and selection process for Group Operations members and Service Centre employees, which includes recruiting employees using various sources such as agencies, advertising
• Using valid selection techniques such as rating procedures, assessment centres, in-basket exercises etc.
• Responsible for drawing up employment contracts for new recruits
• Assist in the employee induction process
• Assist employees relocating to Dubai with moving and household requirements
• Work with company PR to ensure all legal requirements are met
• Responsible for the implementation and coordination of Performance Management
• Responsible for meeting employees’ training needs

• Minimum of five years working as an Executive Secretary / Personal Assistant with 2 Years experience related to human resource management.
• Excellent Interpersonal skills, Planning & Organising, Pro-Active, Accuracy, Creativity, Empathy, Confidentiality and Job Knowledge.
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks, and able to change assignments quickly on short notice.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written; and understand and carry-out written and oral instructions from the Director
• Ability to lead, train and/or direct the work of others
• Sound knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
• Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
