The RoleThe Role Writing PL/SQL subprograms, packages, procedures and functions and DB triggers for data retrieval, deletion, and creation. Fine-tuning the database by creating indices and running explain plan on SQL scripts and using optimizer hints if necessary for faster retrieval. Data Module Design Ability to apply Object-Oriented Analysis and Design. Design, development and creation of custom reports based on business requirements. Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle reporting databases. Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code. Designing database packages and procedures. Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements. Writing / Tuning data ingestion procedures from external suppliers and partners using PL/SQL, SQL loader, 3rd party tools e.g. Toad, etc. Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping, while producing complex reports Ensures that data warehouse design is scalable and maintainable Ensures that all deliverables are thoroughly documented |
RequirementsRequirements M/F Bachelors degree holder or higher in relevant field Must have 4+ years progressive experience in development/programming Certifications will add value but are optional Must have excellent oral and written communication skills |
