Job description / Role
We’re looking for positive and proactive account managers to work within our global team of experts in PR, and Brand & Strategy, furthering your experience of all aspects of PR while gaining a specialist understanding of energy industry communications. This role provides great scope for professional growth and development.

The ability to stay cool, calm and collected under pressure is a must, as is a flair for engaging with clients, media and key suppliers in both formal and informal settings. We create ideas that engage and inspire. You should be adept at recognising clients’ key messaging and translating these into strategic PR activity that will build their familiarity and favourability . . . and our portfolio.
Your effective organisational skills and in-depth understanding of PR strategy will help you project-manage impactful public relations campaigns that have real, measurable effects on clients’ businesses. You will expertly prioritise your own workload, working closely with colleagues around the world to deliver international, integrated work on time and on budget.
Organisation is a key aspect of the role and you will be expected to support your work with precise processes and impeccable documentation. Our clients’ needs never sleep, so we must be ready to respond day or night. You will be required to participate in our emergency response rota.
Your interpersonal skills will come to the fore in developing and maintaining relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers and influencers, embodying the Fifth Ring brand at all times. Networking with polish and poise is a must, enabling us to best identify and exploit key opportunities for our clients.

Requirements
Key Skills
• Prior experience in communications and/or media is essential. A degree in a related field is desirable
• You must be a skilled communicator and writer, comfortable writing accurately in various styles. You could be working on pun-tastic tweets one minute and compiling an industry whitepaper the next, so adaptability is a must
• You must have a curious mind and a firm grasp of, and interest in, the news agenda and current affairs. A keen interest in the energy sector and business-to-business public relations/communications would also be highly beneficial
• Project management, people management and delegation skills are key
• Understanding of commercial aspects of agency life is desirable
• Arabic is desirable but not essential, experience in broadcast media is desirable but not essential
