The Role


The Role


Our client, a world leading blue chip communications agency, is urgently seeking a PR Director for their office in Oman. Having been in operation for more than 4 years in Oman, the agency has secured its position as the leading agency in the country and works with many international brands.

Based in Muscat and reporting the General Manager, you will be responsible for the planning of public relations strategy for all agency clients and the agency itself. Relationship building and maintaining relations with the media is an important part of the role. You will need to provide clear rationale to clients for the role of public relations including key measures and return on investment. Also, recruiting key staff and managing their work and personal development is a key part of this role. You will have to set and manage financial targets. Develop independent client portfolio and oversee quality control, especially the production of press releases.

Requirements

As the successful candidate you will be degree educated with a minimum of 10 years experience in public relations agencies, preferably in the Gulf. You will need to possess excellent communication and organisation skills in Arabic and English. Be articulate in both written and spoken word in Arabic and English. Have the ability to understand a variety of people across different nationalities and cultures. You will need to demonstrate confidence and the ability to learn new tasks quickly. Be persuasive with the ability to think on your feet.
