Job description / Role
Our client is a full service communications organisation looking for a bright, self starting PR Executive to join its team to provide support to a wide range of domestic, regional and international clients.
Responsibilities
Experience in PR consulting is valuable, but not as important as personality and work ethic, our client will dedicate time and energy to develop and train new starters.
Degree educated, ideal candidates will be bi-lingual (English and Arabic) to a spoken level, but must also have excellent writing skills in at least one of the two languages.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a hunger for news, be self starting, and willing to learn quickly from the senior team. You will be confident enough to build your own network of journalists in the market, and be eager to proactively sell a story to a newspaper, magazine, website or broadcast outlet.
An ability to use social media tools is important.
Requirements
• Works under supervision to deadlines
• Assists with client programme execution and daily client servicing
• Drafts basic written PR materials such as factsheets, briefing documents, press releases etc
• Monitors, analyses and summarises news flow
• Creates and maintains media contact databases
• Will support on managing logistics for client events
• Can coordinate meetings and provide meeting minutes
• Can identify opportunities for clients to get into the media
• Undertaking research tasks and presenting findings in a coherent and useful fashion
