PR & Social Media Marketing Assistant up to 14,000AED

This is an exciting role for a social media and general marketing coordinator who is looking to take the next step in their career. We are a medium sized retailer with 2 brands - Build-A-Bear Workshop a USA toy retailer which is all about the experience and Lumas - a high end retail art brand. The brands are polar opposites but share one thing in common, they are experience driven customers, not transactional. We need someone who can take the experience and communicate that to the customer segments across the GCC. With 9 stores now open and 3 more planned for this year, this is a great time to join.

The Marketing Department is currently small and is looking to expand in-order to manage the increased social medial, PR and general marketing activities across the GCC as well as support the new store openings in the next 12 months. You will be joining a very hands-on team, with international experience and a real passion for the brand. We are looking for dynamic and hungry marketing coordinator that has excellent social media understanding, with PR contacts, who is creative and is all about activation and event implementation.

This role will take over from the agency so in essence, the marketing is in-house. Ideally we are looking for an Arabic speaker/writer.,

Key areas of responsibilities will include:
- Increase awareness of the brand, of individual stores and of specific products around the GCC through carefully placed PR.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media in the GCC (English and Arabic) and share all Brand and store initiatives, new launches.
- Create the PR plan on an annual basis and review on a quarterly basis which is proactive.
- Create all content for PR and liaise with USA brand marketing team as well as with GCC marketing Manager.
- Support all events through PR.
- Track and measure the success of PR and share with the stores and the head office management.
- Develop a press cuttings/radio feeds etc. for all PR received.
- Lead the CSR campaign through PR for work done with hospitals and children.
- Regularly communicate with stores to keep them updated about what PR is being done to help elevate their store and generate traffic.
- Develop and manage the social media calendar
- Manage day to day social media postings, advertising, competitions, driving traffic through each social media channel.
- Track performance and identify new social media opportunities.
- Manage e-mail and SMS campaigns with the support of the Marketing Manager
- Help implement in-store promotions with free gift with purchase, discount offers, new launches
- Control marketing spend to be within budget
- Prepare reports measuring the success of marketing campaigns.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this role, you should have at least 3 solid years in PR and have solid contacts in the market.

The marketing Manager will want to see how you used PR to deliver your specific marketing objectives.

You must have an understanding of how to manage your PR budget and track its monthly spend and also track your return.

Preference will be given to candidates that speak and write Arabic. Knowledge of Social Media Marketing would be a big plus as this can be developed as part of the role further down the line.

We need someone who can work independently once given the lead by the marketing manager. You also need to know how to collaborate as the team is very much a sharing culture.

This role requires a lot of creativity, attention to detail, excellent execution skills and of course able to work to tight deadlines. With nearly a launch per month, there is lots to communicate about. You must have excellent PR planning skills that can illustrate to management how your PR will help generate sales in the long term. Highly proficient on the CRM databases, social media, very creative visually and with content. You must be an excellent communicator in English and preference will be given to Arabic speakers and writers. Very confident, able to develop strong relationships with bloggers, out side media, event organizers and the retail staff at store level. This is a very hands on role that will require active selling of the brand during events, being very flexible on weekends when events are on and always willing to help both brands.

This is an immediate role and we need someone who understands this region and who is very hands on. We are happy to consider people from agency however you must have managed a range of fast pace retail brands. You will not be in a very process driven organization, we need someone who is happy to find solutions and really think of interesting and different ways to reach the goals.
