Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for providing excellent service levels whilst undertaking Government Affairs activity including the application for and processing of work permits and residence visas. Represents the Company in governmental sectors such as the Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Reviews and checks all applications before submission;
- Ensures accuracy of paperwork submitted with applications;
- Types MOL contracts, when required, by location;
- Ensures employees attendance at visa medical appointments and deals with any situations arising from visa medical examination failures;
- Attends MOL and MOFA to process Company documentation
- Maintains government affairs administration records, including inputting into trackers and maintaining hard copy files of documentation;
- Ensures documentation is returned to employees HR & Government Affairs Advisor;
- Deals with typing office (if utilised in location) directly behalf of the Company and ensures all transactions and documents passed to typing office are tracked and signed for;
- Ensures safety of employee documentation, including passports and original certificates;
- Represents EC Harris Company in government offices, consulates or sectors as and when required;
- Responsible for presenting paperwork for the renewal of Company Registrations, GOSI, Tax certificate, Chamber of Commerce Certificate under direction of Company Legal Counsel and external government offices;
- Maintains strong relations with both the MOL and Immigration Department to ensure the delivery of visa and residency applications and to ensure a smooth process
- Updates the Company of any proposed new rules and regulations imposed by Ministry of Labor and Immigration departments;
- Assists with obtaining work permits;
- Assists with HR administration tasks.

Requirements

- Minimum high school certificate is required;
- In depth knowledge of Government Affairs processes;
- Fluent in Arabic (written and verbal)
- Strong organisational skills;
- Customer focus with a drive to deliver exceptional customer service;
- Delivery focused individual with the ability to work in a self-sufficient manner;
- Ability to build strong relationships/networks with stakeholders and maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
- Ability to write in English;
- Good IT skills including word and excel
- A minimum of 3 years PRO experience;
- Experience of managing the visa processes for a multi-national business;
- Experience of working in an English speaking environment
