Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Due to continued expansion and growth, we now require a Project Engineer for a SmartPlant Conversion Project. Job duration is from December 2014 to December 2015, to be based on site in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities:
- Perform SP3D and PDS3D administration activities like library creation for piping components/equipment, instrument stands and trays.
- Check model as per project standards, material specification, line specification and vessel data.
- Review civil structure models.
- Oracle debugging for SP3D errors.
- Perform Site Verification and Validation with respect to drawings/layouts.
- Analyse and generate clash, gap and overlap error in SP3D database. Load As-built project in SP3D server, if required, create new project.
- Coordinate with SmartPlant Conversion Project contractor.
- Access As-built drawings, schematics and design documents.
- Review and approve all SmartPlant Conversion Project documents/drawings.
- Weekly and monthly progress reporting to Task Force Team Coordinator.
- Highlight Areas of Concern to Task Force Team Member which will impact on Project schedule.
- Coordinate with SmartPlant tools specialists for assistance on approving Project deliverables.
- Provide on-job training on SP3D, PDS3D and SmartPlant Review (SPR) to enhance skills of draftsmen.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Ten (10) years experience with minimum 5 years SmartPlant working experience on similar conversion project.
- With sound SP3D, PDS3D and PDS2D knowledge and confidence in pipeline engineering activities. Must have good SPR navigation speed.
- Knowledge of Piping Standards for the project and international standards.
- Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
- With good English communication skills both spoken and written.
