The Role


The Role


• Identifies PSM process improvement opportunities of processes and systems that incorporate risk assessment and management into routine work flows associated with all elements of Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Facilitates resource planning for PHA’s, LOPA’s, and other Risk Assessments as outlined in S-Chem and CPChem procedures.
• Analyzes PHA/LOPA findings and observations to identify common issues and facilitate consistency in recommendations and corrective actions with line management.
• Develops procedures to ensure compliance with Employee Participation, PHA, PSSR, MOC, Compliance Auditing, and Trade Secrets elements of PSM.
• Provides training and/or training materials related to PSM.
• Provides oversight and input to processes for developing, filing, and maintaining facility Process Safety Information.
• Facilitates or coordinates internal PSM audits and regulatory agency inspections and audits.
• Coordinates process safety/risk management action item tracking through completion, including development of appropriate metrics and reports. (PSM metrics).
• Facilitates the adoption of company Best Practices and networks with other CPChem facilities and outside sources to identify potential risks that have been identified elsewhere.
• Supports Building Siting efforts based on company and industry requirements.
• Provides appropriate advice, guidance, and counsel to all levels of the S-Chem organization regarding PSM compliance matters and risk-based decision making.

Requirements


Requirements


• Minimum 10 years experience in Petrochemical or Refinery Plant as PSM Coordinator.
• Diploma in Engineering or Science Related Discipline such as Industrial/Process Safety is a plus.
• Experience as a participant or leader in PHA, LOPA, AOA, and MOC procedures.
• Has developed operating procedures and prepared/provided training for Operations and Maintenance personnel.
• Experience in Incident Investigation over site including facilitation, training, and tracking of actions to closure.
• Must possess excellent command of the English language (both written and oral), good communication skills
• Interpersonal skills, trouble shooting, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Capable of dealing with multinational workforce.
