Package / Project Quantity Surveyor - Abu Dhabi

The role will be based at our Abu dhabi projecte and may later be located closer to or on site.

Specific duties will include the following;

- Package procurement based on robust and thorough processes including;
- Tender package preparation including ability to write detailed Scopes of work
- Tender reconciliation, analysis and benchmarking
- Preparing detailed tender recommendation reports
- Order placement
- General Contract Administration tasks including;
- Valuations and payments
- Instructions
- Correspondence
- Final accounts
- Costing exercises and benchmarking
- Cost/ change control and monitoring
- Cost reporting

Requirements

- Degree qualified
- Good understanding of building technology and construction processes
- Strong IT skills, particularly Outlook Email, Calendar and Microsoft Excel
- Lateral thinker
- Problem solving skills
- Well presented and confident
- Committed and hard working
- Organised, with good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Can adapt to different tasks quickly, efficiently and confidently
- Capable of working in an autonomous or team orientated environment
- Interpret information and instructions correctly and carry out tasks accordingly
- Developer or large Main Contractor experience would an advantage put not essential

The site is located in Westminster either side of John Islip Street.

The Development comprises the demolition and site clearance of existing buildings and new build construction of the following accommodation;
- 2 multi storey apartment buildings up to a level of 45 stories containing 1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed Apartments, Flexible Commercial Space, Gym/ Pool, Management Suite, Business Centre, over new basement car parking.
- New triple level basement parking
- Hard and soft landscaping features to new podium areas.

The basement consists of perimeter secant piling and bulk excavation to construct a RC basement tripple level car park. The block superstructures consist of RC frame construction, precast concrete panel and exoskeleton faade, bronze anodised windows system, rainscreen panelling, and liquid applied waterproofing at roof and terrace levels. The internal fit out includes;
- Blockwork party walls, drylined partition walls.
- High specification M&E fit out including low energy dimmable lighting, comfort cooling, pre-wiring for home automation system.
- High specification finishes including coffered ceilings, timber veneer doors, wardrobes, panelling, stone tiling, stone feature walls, vanity units and floor finishes installed throughout.

The Commercial team is currently headed by a Senior QS responsible for all Commercial activities supported by a Package QS and Junior QS. The available role is for an additional Package QS.

Procurement strategy is via direct package procurement on combined supply and install basis. i.e. materials and labour are not procured separately.
