Our client ProVita was established in 2011 in the Middle East in collaboration with the founder of ProVita clinics in Germany. The long-term ventilator-dependent patient care facility in Abu Dhabi is one of the first of its kind in the region.
ProVita offers unique comprehensive rehabilitation programs for patients with post-anoxic brain injury, SMA, and other degenerative diseases, through a multidisciplinary team that includes intensivists, critical care nurses, social workers, and various therapists (PT, OT, RT).
ProVita provides a nurturing family environment and is committed to ensuring the best quality of life possible to each of its patients and effectively assisting in their further rehabilitation. It has a capacity of approximately 40 beds with almost 100 nurses providing 24 hour care in addition to a full-fledged team of specially trained physicians. The facility is just over one year old and is already preparing for JCI accreditation later this summer.
ProVita are looking to hire a Paediatric Critical Care Specialist/Consultant

Responsibilities:
Provide clinical care and perform daily rounds on ventilator-dependent paediatric patients with a wide range of genetic, metabolic, and traumatic illnesses;
Collaborate with quality assurance staff and the Medical Director in determining and revising treatment plans and applying clinical pathways and quality improvement interventions based on identified needs and assessment results;
Manage patients’ airways and conduct pulmonary assessments and monitor results;
Analyse patients' pain levels and determine appropriate action;
Perform and recommend diagnostic or rehabilitation procedures according to patients' clinical conditions;
Monitor unit nursing staff and prioritise their schedules based on patient’s care required and as per assessment results and identified needs;
Document patients medical histories, treatment plans, assessments, results and interventions;
Analyse patients’ individual and psychological needs including their sleep patterns, discomfort, anger, anxiety, and support systems.
Participate in planning and implementing educational programs for clinical staff

Qualifications:
Valid certification in pediatric critical care medicine (US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand);
Western exposure and clinical experience preferably acquired in the US;
Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and other relevant courses;
At least three years of clinical practice and training in critical care medicine (post Board or Specialist Registrar level)
