Job description / Role
- Responsible for leading the sales activities, achieving targets and annual business plan objectives
- Ensure that the sales targets are met through proper planning, prioritizing daily sales activities including new customer visits, regular follow ups and timely reporting
- Develops the sales strategy and plans to meet and exceed revenue and profit goals
- Identify and explore new market segments and potential customers where there is an opportunity for business development
- Coordinate with the regional sales manager, warehouse and other departments to fulfil the client requirements effectively in a timely manner
- Maintain and develop good client relationships at all levels with new and existing customers
Requirements
- An experienced sales engineer with at least 5 years total relevant sales experience within project sales/building materials looking to make the next big step.
- A tenacious and hands-on approach
- Previous solid experience in a commercial / business development role within the Industrial Coatings arena (Paints / Inks) preferably within project sales
- Ability to demonstrate good negotiation skills and account planning and management skills.
- Must be good at building rapport and developing long term relationships with customers.
- Show a high degree of initiative and have a proactive approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player able to interact with all aspects of the company
- Must be very organised and good at planning
- Valid Driving License
