Job description / Role
Generally tasked to:
- Follow up, supervise and ensure that painting and insulation works are executed by the assigned personnel.
- Input, process and update all painting and insulation work order to control backlog.
- Conduct tool box meetings on regular basis in order to ensure the PTW and other special precautions are met and safety measures implemented.
- Coordinate with Safety Engineer to direct safety control function.
- Prepare inspection test plan and request for inspection of painting, coating/insulation works and maintain the close out records of work sheet, weather report, RFI for all completed work orders.-
- Comply with all company HSE Management System and PTW guidelines.
- Participate in preparation of detailed "Method Statement" for execution of hazardous work tasks, and ensure that all safety precautions are implemented by subcontractors.
- Prepare contingency plan for unplanned shutdown activities.
- Train and develop the assigned personnel.
- Maintain the inventory record of all painting and insulation materials.
- Ensure all painters and insulators are skilled to carry out the services.
- Prepare monthly time sheets, HSE Statistics
- To implement Company waste handling procedures for waste segregation, packaging, transporting and safe disposal of construction waste.
-Prepare documents as maybe required by Construction Superintendent or Field Engineer.
-(Depending upon the project size, may be assigned as another member of field engineering team).
Requirements
- Bachelor or equivalent degree in Engineering
- At least 31 yrs old and minimum 5 years extensive experience in Mechanical field in construction
- A proven track record of working on FEED and EPC phases for major Oil & Gas projects in Middle East or Egypt
- Experience in handling at least five (5) foreman
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Proficient in computer / MS Office applications
