Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An exciting opportunity for those who have a legal background and interested in the world of fashion. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Arabic speaking Paralegal to join our client's expanding team in Dubai.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with varied I.P. matters, including trademark registrations
- Drafting minutes, resolutions and corporate approvals in relation to a wide range of complex agreements across a variety of sectors
- Preparation of internal and external documentation, including typing and amending a variety of legal contracts and agreements
- Preparing presentations and reports, ensuring elegance, excellence and conformity with house-style
- Creating and managing highly confidential files and records
- Library, Journal and Searches
- Other research - conducting legal research in a wide number of fields and drafting memos
- Updating - conducting weekly reviews of legal updates and ensuring that associates and partners are aware of recent regional and international developments to include ad hoc research required to keep up to date with developments for specific areas of law, including case law
- Legal filing - Updating the Middle East database and hard copy files of precedents
- Business Development - providing support to the group's business development team as required, in particular collecting BD initiatives and checking distribution lists for client publications; formatting e-bulletins for client distribution
- Translation - assisting with Arabic to English and English to Arabic translations for all groups in the office
- Liaising with Federal and local Government Departments, Ministries, internal and external clients and lawyers
- Proof-reading
- Assisting with other ad-hoc legal and non-legal tasks as requested by the team.

Requirements

- Proficient in MS (2010) Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Degree educated or similar level
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Ability to use initiative and be pro-active
- Enthusiastic, positive and committed team member
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Self-sufficient
- Excellent communication skills
