They are currently looking to recruit an Arabic speaking Paralegal -Corporate to provide paralegal support to the corporate team and help service clients in Foreign & Direct Investment (FDI) matters.

- Prepare documents and liaise with government authorities in relation to the establishment of limited liability companies, free zone companies and licenses.
- Identify clients requirements in relation to setting up a business presence in the UAE, assist with preparing the letters of engagement for the scope of work agreed.
- Understand, identify and prepare necessary actions, paperwork and supporting documents in Arabic/English for items such as Board Resolutions, Shareholder Resolutions, Powers of Attorney and documents for buying/selling shares.
- Liaise with Knowledge Management team to update and maintain FDI precedents and research licensing matters.
- Liaise and communicate with the Corporate Services Team.
- Manage established companies (e.g. limited liability companies/free zone companies) on an ongoing basis.
- Communicate directly with clients and in a professional manner on FDI matters where necessary via email or telephone.
- Take full responsibility for and carry matters through to completion (on specific matter or part of matter as appropriate).
- Provide relevant assistance where required in due diligence matters.
- Maintain responsibility in a professional manner on all matters being under your responsibility and communicate clearly with all team members.
- Handle and deal with the FDI matters (overflow) from other offices in the region of the firm.

Requirements

- The ideal candidate will be educated to at least high school level.
- Formal legal or paralegal qualification desirable and have at least 2 years experience working in a professional services environment.
- Law firm experience.
- The successful candidate will also have previous experience dealing with government authorities, establishment of companies and licenses and knowledge of UAE law is also desirable.
- You must also have strong drafting skills, be fluent in written/spoken Arabic and English and have strong attention to detail and good organisation skills.
